MERIDIONAL participates in CINEA Wind Energy Clustering Event for the second consecutive year

BRIEF NEWS

The event was attended by the MERIDIONAL coordinator, together with the partner involved in the project's upscaling and replication, communication and dissemination.

Yesterday, MERIDIONAL took part in the Wind Energy Clustering Event, organised by CINEA in Brussels, marking its second consecutive year of participation. The event was attended by the MERIDIONAL coordinator Simon Watson from TU Delft, together with ICONS, the partner involved in the project’s upscaling and replication, as well as in communication and dissemination.

This key event brought together some of the most advanced EU-funded wind energy projects, with 29 initiatives present to address crucial industry challenges, from offshore wind technology development to market uptake, policy, and cost reduction.

MERIDIONAL contributed valuable insights during two dedicated working group sessions:

  • Recommendations for policymakers to accelerate wind energy innovation
  • Competitiveness and R&I priorities to strengthen the European wind energy industry

The CINEA Wind Energy Clustering Event also provided an excellent opportunity to meet and engage with coordinators of other projects with which MERIDIONAL is already collaborating, such as SUDOCO. These exchanges are vital for fostering synergies and advancing a more sustainable and competitive wind energy sector in Europe.
