MERIDIONAL joins the new Wind Innovation Cluster Hub

BRIEF NEWS

The new cluster boosts the wind energy sector connecting 19 projects

The MERIDIONAL project has joined the new Wind Innovation Cluster Hub.

Launched on 17 August 2026, the Cluster connects 19 projects in the field of wind energy research and innovation, with the goal of boosting the dissemination of their results, finding collaboration pathways, and amplifying their networks.

Alongside MERIDIONAL, the members of the Cluster Hub are Atlantic Horizon Europe project, BLADE2CIRC, DTWO project, EOLIAN project EU, ICONIC, INF4INiTY, InterOPERA EU, LIGHTWIND, MADE4WINDPROJECT, REFRESH project EU, SUDOCO, SUSTAINOW, TAILWIND EU, TWAIN Project, TWINVEST Project, VERTI-GO Project, WHEEL and WINDTWIN.

The projects involved share the goal of exchanging knowledge to support the EU’s climate, energy security, and industrial competitiveness goals. In doing so, the Wind Innovation Cluster Hub addresses a set of wind-energy-related topics, including:

  • circularity and high-performance materials,
  • digital monitoring, O&M and wind farm control,
  • offshore wind technologies and infrastructure, including floating wind, and
  • system integration, grid and market readiness.

As MERIDIONAL is close to its finish, the participation in the Cluster Hub will allow the sustainability of its results. In fact, it will support dissemination long after the project’s conclusion. Acting as a promoter, it will represent the projects and spread their content at international events.

The first occasion will be the participation at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 on 22-25 September.
